Click the Get button. You will have options to:
Change the target database name.
Specify additional roles that require access to this data.
Once you complete these steps, data syncing into your Snowflake instance will begin. More details can be found in Snowflake’s documentation.
How the Snowflake Private Data Share Works
With Snowflake’s private data share, a secure connection is maintained between your Snowflake account and the SupportLogic Snowflake account. Here’s how the data sharing process works:
SupportLogic pushes Snowflake reporting data to your Snowflake account based on Account ID.
The data remains stored in SupportLogic’s Snowflake account, but you get read-only access to it.
You must accept the data share within your Snowflake account to start receiving data.
Once accepted, you can choose the database where the shared data will appear in your Snowflake instance.
You can then copy the data or run reports on it within your own Snowflake environment.
Security and Access Control
Security is managed through both SupportLogic’s and your Snowflake accounts. Here’s how access control works:
Customer Access: You control user access to your Snowflake account, including MFA, SSO, and role-based permissions.
SupportLogic Access: SupportLogic manages user access on its own Snowflake account with MFA, SSO, and internal security policies.
Snowflake Security: Snowflake ensures a secure private share connection between both accounts, which can be managed from the Private Sharing section within Snowflake.
