Salesforce iFrame plugin instructions

Purpose

Steps through the process of installing the SupportLogic iFrame plugin in Salesforce.

Step through the process of installing the iFrame plugin for SupportLogic features to be available within your Salesforce instance.


Installing the SupportLogic iFrame plugin

  1. Open the link (Package v1.20 URL) directly. You will need to use your own instance of SFDC for the package installation. To do so, add "?ec=302&startURL=%2Fpackaging%2FinstallPackage.apexp%3Fp0%3D04tIS000000ToUR" at the end of your SFDC URL. For example:

    https://[your org name].lightning.force.com/?ec=302&startURL=%2Fpackaging%2FinstallPackage.apexp%3Fp0%3D04tIS000000ToUR

  2. Enter the Username and Password for the salesforce Org. Once logged in, this install screen should show up, if installing for the first time. If you are updating from an older version, a similar screen will be shown prompting the user to update.

  3. Recommended to install for all users. If you wish to install only for select users, please insure that those users have the right permissions to view the widgets post-installation.

  4. This screen below will show up if you are installing the version which is backwards compatible with the legacy plugin. Please grant access and proceed.

  1. On selecting Checkbox and clicking on “Continue” the installation will begin as below:

  1. Once completed, a Successful Installation of package messages will come and you can cross check your installed package under.

  1. Package: 

    iFrame installed packages
    SFDC plugin - SupportLogic_Connector is installed and shows up under Installed Packages

     

Post-Deployment Steps

In the quick search bar, type in Custom Settings (Setup - Build - Develop - Custom Settings); and go to that page. Scroll down the list and find the label called SL Configuration Settings. Click Manage next to it.

iFrame Custom Settings


  1.      Add a new entry with the following values: 

    1. Location: SupportLogic (should be prefilled)

      Support Logic URL: https://iframe.[your instance name].supportlogic.io 

      iframe URL: https://iframe.[your instance name].supportlogic.io 

    2. Check the "Use iframe" toggleiFrame Configuration Settings

    3.  SL Configuration Settings


NOTE: If everything has been setup correctly, you should see the iframe widget on the Case page, as shown below:
